Beautiful home and great location! The host was very responsive to any questions and concerns. Plenty of parking for our group. We had no reason to leave the house. We had everything we needed to cook/grill at the property except a knife set, but this was communicated with the host and handled. Cheer nationals were going on this weekend so other areas were very crowded. It was nice that the beach was more private.

The home was as described and directly on the beach with beautiful views. We had some disappointments on arrival with the beach access due to the unexpected dredging process, then minor WiFi issues, but management was quick to respond/send someone to help. We enjoyed our stay and appreciate the management’s commitment to making things right for us! The location is beautiful and will not disappoint.

We love this place. It’s such a great spot on the beach. The upstairs suite with a patio was such a value add! Each person or at least three people can have water views. You can hear the ocean from so many rooms. You won’t be disappointed. The text system is responsive. Book it you will be super glad you did!

We stayed at Bare Foot Retreat in February and it was a really nice stay. We were able to keep the sliding doors partially open most of the time and could enjoy the ocean sounds. It was nice being able to walk down to the beach anytime or just sit outside on the deck reading. We would stay here again.

We visit Pensacola Beach every year sometimes twice a year. This is by far our favorite rental. It had a great layout and was nicely equiped with just about everything you could need. The property is in great shape with lots of nice amenities. We will definitely stay here again.

There are only two things that you may want to address…invest in new linens that fit the beds properly, and leave instructions for the remote control fans.
The house was amazing, and everyone in my party agreed that we would like to rent the same home next year. We have been visiting this area for the last five years and this was our favorite house so far.
We were very impressed with the back deck, which is partially covered, and would allow for you to be outside, even if it were raining. We also loved the walkway leading to the beach. It was much easier than walking through the sand.
The communication was extraordinary, and since we had people flying in from Phoenix and Dallas, and because the house was ready, we were allowed to check in a couple of hours early.
I highly recommend this property, and hope when we get our dates together for next year, it will be available!

Very much enjoyed our visit. The house was large enough to accommodate the 10 of us-6 adults and 4 kids. We were able to all sit in the living room together. The kitchen had most everything we needed. It could use a pair of scissors though. The bedrooms were comfortable. We had a few repairs needed but service people were sent out immediately. I was very impressed with that. My special place was the covered porch. As I’m not a beach sitter, I enjoyed the shade and the porch swing. Thanks for s great week.

This home is absolutely beautiful, my family and I had such an incredible time here! The home has the perfect location, literally just a few steps away from the beautiful beach, from your very own beach access. The home was equipped with basically everything we needed for our stay. We were able to check in almost 2 hours early which was a huge plus for us! We loved this home so much I’m sure we will be renting it again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and worked well for our family for the week. It was just steps from the beach and the area was not crowded at all. It was just a short drive to restaurants, shopping and fun things to do.

This is an incredible Location. The house is steps onto the beach with your own little path. Loved how it was more private and way less crowded than the in town beach. It is very close to town for all the yummy restaurants. We would definitely go back to this house. The one thing I’d say is come knowing you’ll need beach towels because they aren’t provided, shampoo conditioners, and you’ll need more toilet Paper paper towels trash bags etc. They leave a bar of soap for each bathroom and one toilet roll. This is just a heads up. We still think it deserves the 5 stars because it is wonderful!

The house is very comfortable. The bedrooms were perfect for us. ( 6 adults, 1 child) The living area was arranged perfectly. There are puzzles and beach books for when-a beach break is needed. The deck is terrific! We used the gas grill with no problems. Downstairs is an outdoor shower. Kitchen well stocked with appliances, pans, bowls, dishes, pots, utensils & cooking utensils. Another set of forks would be nice to have as we don’t use plastic! Also, as the freezer in the fridge is small & the demand for ice is high, perhaps a small ice maker could be installed? A kitchen drawer came off the track and maintenance was out that day to repair it! He also set up the hose for us as someone had removed the connector. One flaw that was almost a deal breaker for us renting again next year is the bathroom in large downstairs bedroom. The toilet/shower closet has slatted, wooden swinging doors as seen in old Western movies! They don’t even latch! This affords no privacy. I am hoping that the owner upgrades this to a barn door! I rented in good faith that this will happen! The boardwalk to the beach is excellent. It was so nice having 2 Adirondack chairs at the base of the walk. Such a great place to sit & sip or read or just listen to waves at night. Lovely touch! We used the beach umbrella for extra shade. There were beach chairs & toys that we did not use. All in all this was a great house for us.

Great place to stay! Lots of room and we spent a lot of time on the large covered patio.
Pics have not been updated. The updates were a nice surprise. No game room but instead a large master suite upstairs. Patio updated which was very nice! We would stay again!!

Great location! The house had everything we needed. It IS a bit dated, however. Swinging 'saloon like" doors to the toilet/shower in downstairs bedroom REALLY need to be changed. There is no bathroom privacy in that area.

We very much enjoyed our time at this property and would recommend it to friends. We would definitely consider coming back in the future. The staff was very helpful in accommodating an early check-in since we had little kids who had been in the car for a very long time. We very much appreciated this. The location was fantastic and the beach access was perfect. The property was not far from the main drag, but it was far enough away to be calm and uncrowded. We did notice that the boardwalk needed some TLC, but no one was injured or maimed and it was not unsafe. The outdoor seating areas also maybe needed some attention, but again, these are only minor comments. There was plenty of space to accommodate our group and nothing was uncomfortable. The family room space was perfect! There was lots of room for all of our group to sit in the evenings and plenty of room around the dining table (but we did need a few more chairs here). The TV was nice and easy to use. The WiFi also worked well, even for video conferencing. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked a lot. It was a bit hard to cook for a big group (maybe needed more large items like pots, pans, baking sheets, etc.), but we were prepared for this and managed to adapt as needed. The appliances were a little dated but functioned adequately. The refrigerator struggled to keep up when we first arrived and packed it full of groceries for 11 adults; but we were able to contact the text line and a service provider was sent to inspect it on the same day. He vacuumed some cooling components and it was running great by the end of the evening. We were very pleased with the responsiveness of the staff to address this issue. The sleeping arrangements easily accommodated our group and no one complained about the beds being uncomfortable. (This is my own personal suggestion, but I would have appreciated some upgraded/additional bedding, as what was provided was a bit minimal. But, I understand not wanting to put a lot of investment into this when people don't treat it well.) The kitchen cabinets and bathrooms needed to be updated -- there was nothing wrong with them, but they were obviously dated. Still, there was plenty of hot water and everything was very clean so this really wasn't a disappointment or problem. The water pressure was also good so long as not all three bathrooms were going at the same time. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation and would recommend this property for others.

Thank you for the thorough and constructive review! We appreciate constructive feedback and it definitely helps us improve our properties as guests often find things and notice items that we do not. We have both the back deck and the walkway schedule for replacement and repair this off season. The beach is a harsh environment and it is time to get those two parts of the house fixed (the deck replaced and the walkway repaired/updated). We will also check out the kitchen items and make sure we are adequately stocked up with the necessary pots and pans. We had 4 families with 6 kids from 2-7 years old stay in this house for 6 nights. It was just enough room and the walk to the beach was so perfect. Any issues we had were addressed quickly. We cannot quit talking about how comfortable the beds were. We are looking at booking now for next year. Thanks for sharing your property with us.

Pros: Lovely beachfront with private walkway over dunes, coud leave chairs and toys at the end of walkway so didn't have to haul them in every time. Screened porch with swing so perfect for beach-gazing we didn't even mind rainy weather; able to enjoy the sea in all its moods. Lots of toys/chairs left in the garage by previous guests (we left three umbrellas) so we only had to buy a few beach things. Just enough room for 8 adults and 4 kids. Driveway/garage perfect for cornhole or lots of parking. Groceries and alcohol delivered by Publix, so no need to leave once we got there. Outstanding communication with management. Comfy beds, lots of towels. Cons: House a little more dated than listing shows, but, hey, it's a beach house. No ventilation for stove, had to open windows when cooking bacon, which let in hot air and flies. Boardwalk to beach is old and splintery. Several of us got bloody toes (because we shucked our shoes when we arrived and didn't put any on until we left). Nails popping up on the deck/boardwalk are a hazard -- either replace with screws or supply a hammer. We used driftwood to pound them down. Also, spindles loose or missing on railings. These are not as much complaints as just letting the management know about needed repairs. I owned a house at the beach and it's much harder to keep up than a house anywhere else. Overall, it's in good shape. A fabulous place for a family beach vacation. I would stay here again.

Amidst all of the concern with COVID-19, we chose this house because of its direct access to the beach and the ability to stay together safely. The house was well-equipped, layed out, comfortable and provided a wonderful week away. The beach is beautiful - great swimming, soft white sand and plenty of space for social distancing with our tent, umbrella, 10 chairs, sand toys, coolers, etc. Screened deck/porch was lovely for morning coffee and evening drinks. Plenty of parking room for our cars too. We look forward to planning another trip at this property.

This house was perfect for our group. It has four separate sleeping areas--one bedroom with a king, one with a twin & trundle and double, another has one king and one queen and then a king upstairs. The upstairs bedroom has a bathroom, walk out door and a small kitchen area. The living room has three couches and 2 chairs. There was dining seating for 10. The living area and each bedroom had televisions. The beach is only a few steps from the back porch.

This is a beautiful, spacious house and a wonderful location. The quick and private access to the beach was perfect for our group. There are multiple porches with breathtaking views of the ocean. The kitchen is spacious and open, and lends itself perfectly to cooking and gathering. The owners were very attentive to questions. We had a large group—11 people—and everyone had a blast. This was the PERFECT place.
